Online audio editing and mixing course for 16-25 year olds based in Northern Ireland.

We’re teaming up with the Unlocking Our Sound Heritage project to delve into local history through sound and use archive recordings to create sound compositions.

This practical course will give you the opportunity to use sound creatively whilst exploring our local sound heritage.

During this course you will learn the audio editing, effects and mixing techniques you need to create your own composition using recordings from the archive. You will also develop listening skills and learn about the sonic environment and soundscape composition.

You will be given access to sound recordings from the Unlocking Our Sound Heritage archives, and have the chance to create a composition that enhances and creates a new context for the audio.
