A 6-week course introducing young people to graphics and digital illustration to reinterpret museum collections and tackle important social issues for young people.
Participants received tuition from professional illustrators Jamie Beard and Stephen Maurice Graham from UsFolk (a creative Illustration agency based in Belfast), who guided them through reinterpreting museum collections using their unique digital design styles. Participants also talked about important social issues facing young people and factored these into their works, including feminism and LGBT+ rights. The works are now showcased in an exhibition taking over The Pit area on the bottom floor of the Ulster Museum which runs until the end of August 2019.
