8-week course empowering young people to plan, programme and run an innovative new three-day festival celebrating Derry’s built heritage, in partnership with the Nerve Centre and Tower Museum.
Taking inspiration from the City Walls for its name, the Bastion Youth Festival delivered a wide range of exciting activities including an after-hours launch night at Tower Museum, secret gigs on the City Walls, a gaming event at The Guildhall, Yoga Brunch and Wellbeing talk at the Garden of Reflection, art exhibiton and comedy podcast at Nerve Centre, and Graffiti mastercalsses in Guildhall Square. It was supported through the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Derry City and Strabane District Council’s Youth 19 Golden Event Fund.
